Become a Member of SRTM

The above process illustrates a general overview of how to become a member of SRTM.   First inventory your information using the online registration form.  The form can be found here. There are also certain criteria which must be satisfied in order to be nominated for membership at SRTM.

The criteria to be nominated as a potential member of SRTM is listed below.  These criteria must be satisfied within a single six-month term.

1. Completion of four roles including an ice-breaker speech.
2. Choice of mandatory three roles from the following: joke master, word and quote master, ah counter, timer, grammarian or table topics speaker.  (Consult the role guide for more information).
3. Participation rate must be at least thirty percent during the six-month term.
4. Attendance at membership induction ceremony.

Eligibility for membership at SRTM is intensive but comes with a lot of benefits.

• Automatic subscription to the official Toastmasters International magazine, Toastmasters
• Preferential status for assuming roles at meetings.
• Eligibility to start using official Toastmasters International educational material such as the competent communicator (CC) and competent leadership (CL) manuals
• Voting rights
• Eligibility to assume an officership
