About SRTM

Toastmasters International is a not-for-profit educational organisation that operates clubs worldwide for the purpose of helping members improve their communication, public speaking and leadership skills. First incorporated under California law in October of 1924, since its inception Toastmasters has served over four million people and today over 260,000 members in over 12,800 clubs in 113 countries. Prospective guests from all walks of life are welcomed. No preparation is needed for the first meeting, just a smile, open mind, and positive attitude! First-time guests are prompted to use the new-guest registration form to indicate interest.

SRTM meets every Wednesday evening at 19:15; at your convenience please arrive by 19:00. By public transportation walk out of Gangnam Station (Seoul Subway Line 2) exit No. 6, proceed one block, take the first left and then a right. Look for the large building, Pagoda Academy. We are located directly behind in the Seungwon building on the third floor of Gangnam ToZ. Our building, fronting the big Asahi Beer sign shown in the photo, is 200 metres north of Gangnam Station. For detailed location please consult the map on the right of this page. Please contact ToZ directly at 02-3476-0118 for difficulty locating us on the night.

Though Toastmasters International is not-for-profit, we do, nevertheless, need to rent a seminar room at Gangnam ToZ. To defray this cost, we exact ₩5000 from all members and guests each meeting. We do not impose any prerequisites on guests; just come as you are and be prepared to listen to some fine speeches and evaluations. We energetically encourage guests to attend our meetings.
